As part of Disaster Recovery Group NZ Ltd’s protection for our customers, we have arranged an Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy in case you find that you do not have insurance cover for loss or damage to your server(s) or for the costs of reconstructing your data.

This cover is provided by NZI, a business division of IAG New Zealand Limited a company with an AA* (Very Strong) Standard & Poors rating. Our cover is wide, but does have some conditions and exclusions. Full details can be provided on request however we outline below a summary of the cover provided.

WHAT YOU ARE INSURED FOR
Section One – Damage to Your Servers

You are insured for accidental physical loss or accidental physical damage and mechanical breakdown of the server(s) listed in your contract up to $25,000 any one site. There is an excess on this section of $500.

Section Two – Loss to Data Media and Loss of Information
You are also insured for costs and expenses necessarily and reasonably incurred to reconstruct or rebuild any data or customised specialised software that was also lost following the perils insured in Section One damaging the listed server(s) up to $10,000 any one site. There is an excess on this section of $100.

As mentioned above, this is a contingency cover on the server(s) only. If you already have insurance covering any of the aspects that are covered by NZI policy then you must claim on policy first.
